Re: MoBlock and Radiostreams

So you only want to whitelist them temproarily? This is not possible (iptables supports this, but not blockcontrol or mobloquer).

I havenīt mobloquer installed currently, but i think there there it...

Re: moblock on Synology NAS - All kernel modules available, but moblock won't start

First off, we moved on with development: blockcontrol is now pglcmd and nfblock (based on moblock) is pgld. Iīm going to greatly improve the Makefile for these (in the next weeks ...), so that you...

Re: That router question again

update: pgld's Makefile:

# LOWMEM disables storing of textual range descriptions in RAM.
# Set to yes if you are building a version for embedded devices
# like router or NAS box.

LOWMEM ?= yes

We...

Re: That router question again

It should be somewhere here in the forum: either iplist or nfblock can be compiled in a memory-save mode: there it only reads the IP ranges, but not the corresponding descriptions. This should give a...

Re: That router question again

Donīt know, havenīt heard anything.

But if you start work: we have started work on "PeerGuardian Linux", based on nfblock, which is now pgld. So all future development on moblock or nfblock will...

Hmm, you have the current version, which should have fixed that problem. So I canīt give any other advice, than to do a clean reinstall of mobloquer (all settings like blocklists and whitelistings...

Re: New to moblock installing from ubuntu hardy PPA and DEB package

1.) Start a new thread for a new topic. Donīt hijack another thread with an unrelated topic.
2.) Do you have an IPBlocker installed (MoBlock, IPList or NFBlock)?

If you have an IPBlocker installed...

Re: I am new... and cannot install moblock...

Thatīs not very precise.
Is it Ubuntu 9.04 ("Jaunty Jackalope")? If yes, Iīd suggest to take the packages from moblock-deb.sourceforge.net. See also here https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MoBlock

If...

Re: New to moblock installing from ubuntu hardy PPA and DEB package

When ufw is started or changes its configuration it purges all iptables rules. So you have to do an "blockcontrol restart" every time this happens. Otherwise the watchdog will check if the...

Re: New to moblock installing from ubuntu hardy PPA and DEB package

When you removed the http (or 80) entry from WHITE_TCP_OUT, then you have to "blockcontrol restart", so that your changes take effect. But indeed your status shows that youīre still whitelisting this...

Re: New to moblock installing from ubuntu hardy PPA and DEB package

First off, please post your logs in CODE tags.

This is ok, because per default port 80 (http) is whitelisted (not checked). This means the ping to a certain IP gets checked by moblock (ping uses...

Re: Installing Moblock on CentOS 5.3

No, it is either iplist or moblock! These are complete alternatives!

Iplist may also be used console only, without the GUI. But I canīt give any further advice, because Iīve never used it.

Re: Installing Moblock on CentOS 5.3

Re: moblock will not start Ubuntu 9.04

no no :-)
This time I wanted moblock.log, not blockcontrol.log.
Do
sudo rm -f /var/log/moblock.log
sudo blockcontrol start
wait a few minutes and then post the moblock.log.

EDIT: Just released...

Re: moblock will not start Ubuntu 9.04

Please check /var/log/blockcontrol.log.

Probably "blockcontrol show_config" and "dpkg -l moblock blockcontrol lsb-base" might help, too.
