Default Unexplained Problems w/PG2 beta 6b or 6c??--Try This!!

Sometimes PG2 beta 6b and 6c experience strange problems for no apparent reason.

If this happens to you try doing these steps:

1. Close out PG2 (make sure it is no longer in Task Manager).

2. Open your PG2 Program Folder and delete the following:

a. All of your lists in the "lists" folder (make sure you back up any custom lists you might have so you can add them back in later).

b. cache.p2b

c. history.db

d. pg2.conf

3. Close the PG2 Program Folder.

4. Restart PG2 (when you start it again, it will go through the Set-up Wizard and you can choose your lists and settings again).

5. Put any custom lists you have backed up into the "lists" folder.

Doing these things stops short of uninstalling/reinstalling PG2 beta 6b, and 6c.

If this doesn't correct the problems, then do a complete uninstall/reinstall.

Before you reinstall PG2, please do these things first:

1. Uninstall PG2 completely using Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel.

2. Make sure you delete all left over files in the PG2 Program Folder.

3. Reboot your computer (rebooting makes for a cleaner reinstall).

4. Reinstall either PG2 beta 6b or 6c.
