Thumbs down PeerGuardian crashes in Leopard

I upgraded to Leopard last night and have found that the PeerGuardian app just crashes when attempting to launch. I completely removed the app and reinstalled with the same results. Can anyone else confirm this?

Thanks!!!

I can confirm that PG does not work in Leopard and will cause problems. Little Snitch and Net Barrier also will cause problems. I suggest you uninstall all three before you upgrade to Leopard.

Little Snitch has released 2.0 version that works in Leo though.

Qnation, I know you are very busy and we all really appreciate all your hard work for PG and it was extremely useful in Tiger. Do you plan on making a new version to work in Leopard or are you just too busy now? Is there anything we can do to help you out? Maybe there are some other guys here who might be able to shoulder some of the work.

Yes it does crash in Leopard. Is there any way I can uninstall it as I'm having a very hard time trying!

Guess I'll have to delay installing leopard; wouldn't want to be without PG.

EDIT: i figured it out to uninstall download peerguardian again then open the folder, in it is an uninstall.sh file

open terminal and drag that file into the window

follow the terminal instructions

now cross fingers for a 10.5 version

I managed to make it working, however it crashes occasionally.

Apparently it needed a library which it is missing from Leopard. So I renamed via Terminal the file /usr/lib/libcrypto.0.9.dylib in libcrypto.0.9.old.dylib and copied from my old installation of Mac OSX the file libcrypto.0.9.dylib.

I don't know if this change could break other apps, but so far all is working well.
