Well i know that MSI has a live update program that does that. Otherwise just try contacting your motherboard manufacturer

BIOS ID String: 10/19/99-I440BX-P2B-S
OEM Signon: ASUS P2B-S ACPI BIOS Revision 1011

I thoroughly concur screw these piece of crap guys.

Bastards are charging now $40.00 for BIOS.
I guess they can't make money any other way.

My PC crashed after installing my IP's security software and Win XP said to try updating my bios (Phoenix Tech circa v.6 2003). Obvoiusly it was the IP software but I figured what the heck and I went to the Phoenix Technologies site and found that yes a bios update was available but I'd have to subscribe for a year at the cost of $29.95 to get it!

I find that rather greedy and pathetic. This is the first manufacturer I've come across to charge for updates to their oem software/hardware. I'm sure it's not the only one, but at least other companies provide free updates to consumers and make up the difference in expense with providing specialized service to businesses or corporations.

You can be sure that I'll be checking the make of my next pc and avoiding Phoenix at all costs.

Hi,

Try go to the website of your motherboards manufacturer instead of the BIOS manufacturer.

As Kidcash said check your motherboard manufactures site. You should be able to get it through them for free.
