Default Allow list, how to do?

Im quite new to this so im not too sure of what im doing. I have Vuze set up with port forwarding, and I want to add a custom P2P allow list, and here are the questions i have:
1. In PeerGuardian should i select "allow All Ranges" or "allow Standard Ports" or both?
2.In PeerGuardian manual it talks something about local ports, and if its not done it could not block some IP': "Open PeerGuardian’s preferences (cmd-,) and enter the local ports you wish to filter in the “Filter remote std. port access to these local ports” field. You can
enter individual ports and port ranges." I have no idea what that means!!!

I hope someone can explain this to me...

Thank you in advance
