Default MoBlock and Radiostreams

@all

I need help...

With Ubuntu 9.10 I use MoBlock with following Blocklists: Everything works fine, but theres one thing I can't configure.

Sometimes I want to surf in Shoutcast or other Radiostreamlists with Songbird or Rhythmbox. For direct Shoutcast-Adresses I use Audacious. So when I surf in a list I have to stop MoBlock, otherwise MoBlock blocks the stream, logical.

To use a stream when MoBlock is running, I have to whitelist the corresponding Port in the blockcontrol.conf.

But this Procedure isn't very comfortable. Is it possible to whitelist the players so that I can surf through a Shoutcastlis during MoBlock is running?

Thx for help! rorschach

PS: I can't upload an avatar, maybe cause I'm a newbie?

So you only want to whitelist them temproarily? This is not possible (iptables supports this, but not blockcontrol or mobloquer).

I havenīt mobloquer installed currently, but i think there there it is only possible to whitelist some standard ports. Everything else you have to do manually, as described by you.

I donīt know Shoutcast, but if it uses just a few IPs you may permanently whitelist those, or (if you are a bit paranoid), a combination of IP+port in /etc/blockcontrol/iptables-custom-insert.sh (see /usr/share/doc/blockcontrol/examples to learn how to do this).

Not temporarily. I want to "whitelist" the players who receive the stream, just like in an ordinary firewall.

Every helping hand is welcome anyway.

Thx for help! grounded
