MoBlock 0.9 Debian (and Ubuntu) packages
I've started to package MoBlock 0.9 (Release Candidate 1). So here it is moblock (0.9~rc1-1), use it only if you really want to test it. I've renamed the nfq package and skipped the ipq version.
This version now allows to MARK packets instead of DROPping or ACCEPTing them.
I've also added a /etc/moblock/moblock.default configuration file to make future updates easier.
Warning: This version also logs accepted packages, so your logfile will grow faster than usual.
Please have a look at the Debian package changelog ( http://moblock-deb.svn.sourceforge.n...og?view=markup) to get a complete list of the changes.

Edit: Moblock 0.9 is the recommended version now.

No.
New logging features are:
- timestamping
- log to syslog
- log to STDOUT
but not with ports. But AFAIK the developer knows of this feature request.
And of course this great marking feature which allows:
- integration with firewalls
- REJECTING packets (so that you notice it immediately when outgoing packets are blocked)
greets

Re: MoBlock 0.9 preview
Yes, so currently it should work with CentOS (install it manually) but there are no RPMs yet. Help would be appreciated.

Re: MoBlock 0.9 preview
New MoBlock (0.9~rc2-13) packages:
- debconf support added
- port 80 and 443 whitelisted per default again
- LAN traffic automatically whitelisted (experimental)
- port logging
- hopefully removed all bashisms
Have fun.
