Default PG2 Beta 6c, testing!

New version here: http://phrosty.phoenixlabs.org/pg2-070309.exe

This fixes a couple bugs, updates some urls, and adds a new feature:

update servers will be auto-allowed while updating, and then go back to regular settings (ie if they are blocked) when it's done. this can be turned off via the config file AllowUpdates setting, but is not recommended!

edit: it also has a performance enhancement in the driver :)

one installer fits all this time. needs testing especially on 9x.

Beta 6c doesnt have support for Vista, however RC1, which will be released in the future will.

Beta 6c looks just like Beta 6b, except it has a few things fixes, such as the problem with Right clicking on an allowed IP and permanently blocking it.

This is not for Vista. The PG2 dev is working on a PG2 for Vista, but it's not ready yet.

Afaik, there is no shapshot of this new PG2 Beta 6c. The dev just released this a little while ago.

No, I don't think so. This is not a major upgrade for PG2. This was released so that PG2 users can update the p2p list without problems now that this list is hosted at Coral Cache.

This version will not work with Mcaffee, since its the same as the previous beta except that its got a few bugfixes, if it were to be compatible with Mcaffee Phrosty the developer would have made a post about it.

in case you want to get an idea what it looks like when PG2 allows an IP for update

anyway no new problems have popped up as of yet and the bug fix and new feature seem to be working as intended for me

uhoh. big problems on win2k pro sp4. after installing 6c, pg2 pops up saying it can't load the packet filtering driver. running recover fails also. it says no driver found to recover.

Seems like I got this error message after I installed the new beta. Did a clean reinstall of PG2 and this is what comes up when I try to update.
