I would suggest turning off Windows Defender all together, as it doesnt actually do much in the first place besides piss you off with warnings every other day.
Just go to Start -> Run, then type in msconifg and disable it in services and startup. Then restart, and it should work.

Tried it on 32-bit VU, but didn't work for me. So far the only thing I can do is to delete and re-install PG2 every time I reboot, and after a few of those tries it works.

Make a batch file with the following script.
cls
tskill pg2
del /Q "C:\Program Files\PeerGuardian2\lists"
del /Q "C:\Program Files\PeerGuardian2\cache.p2b"
"C:\Program Files\PeerGuardian2\pg2.exe"
cls
Of course change the paths if you installed other than default.
Don't have utorrent(if using) start with windows. When you reboot just run this batch file. It helps me with loading of PG2. Then launch utorrent.
