Let's start gathering information on this guy. It's time he was banned
from all P2P forums and web sites, and this second offence rises to the
level of a felony.

Send me any info you can find and I'll start by putting him in the Level 1
blocklist as an anti-P2P activist. I'll also distribute blocking information
to all web sites and forums involved with P2P, PeerGuardian and security.

Anybody with information can just click on my username and use the "Send a message"
link or go to any of the forums I run or use regularly and send me a PM.

umbelievable that he managed to do it a seconds time that we know of.
looking like this is his MO.

I will see what i can collate about him and will point other Phoenixlabs staff at this thread.

Lucky for us I just happened to check in at the time and caught him in the act.
He ran off as soon as he saw me online and never got around to destroying or
sabotaging the source code. The forums are going to need a rebuild if the recent
upgrades weren't backed up.

Pretty soon he's going to have a hard time using any P2P software, much less
lurk at our sites. This time he might even be getting a knock at the door because
hacking for vandalism across state lines makes it a felony.

Still pretty young, I see. I have plenty of information of the personal sort now,
certainly enough for service of documents should I decide to go that route.
What I really need now is any IP addresses he has used and actual email headers
(not necessarily email contents unless you think it's relevant).

We don't need to deal with him directly at this point, just set up blocks and build
up an online profile so that we will know whenever he comes to do some lurking.

In discussions with other team members, it appears he worked his way in to
the project in the same way as last time and then started having control issues
with other members of the team when his identity became known. His behaviour
problem reached a peak on the night of the sabotage when he was seen telling
one of the leaders not to contact any of "his" programmers because they work for
him and not for us, and made the implied threat that there would be retaliation if
that leader did not obey his command.

Shortly after that, he apparently realized he had screwed up his chances at being
a member of the team and pulled the plug instead. As a parting gesture he even
put a gigabyte zip file on the web site as the default page so that anyone who went
there would have their web browser lock up and crash.

I see when pantheraproject.net is entered into a browser address bar it now ends up at a discordia site serving the scam Shareaza V6.
Thought I better mention that, unfortunately it probably means more people will get scammed by discordia for now.
Wouldn't surprise me if that's were Mr Erwin got his incentive for doing this from.

Crashes only happen using FireFox(3). Pagefile on XP went to 1.5GB before VC++ error. Caused reboot once on Win2K, but not repeatable*. ZIP file was 104,874,307 bytes. Contained file 'test100.dat' (reportedly of unmatchable content), and exactly 100MiB. Contents of zip file not entirely relevant to crash, since other ZIPs cause same result. Not sure if bug in FireFox is NOP-sledable. I don't plan to test.

*I eventually found the high CPU/memory utilization of downloading/rendering the ZIP by Firefox exposed a thermal issue in the making on my motherboard. Great!

In any case, it was clearly hostile.

Let's keep that info coming in, folks. IP addresses and any info that can go into a blocklist,
such as email addresses and any pseudonyms he has used. We need to block this guy for good.

Forum operators should look for usernames like:

werwin

Just done a search for the following user names , and we do have a user by the name of werwin here.
